Meet Guy, personal trainer and Ambassador
Hello ladies, my name is Guy Droog, which is impossible to pronounce in English, so don't try. I'm going to tell you a few things about myself. Sit tight, it’s going to be a long ride..
Before I started my blog, I was a common fitness enthusiast, much like yourself. I enjoyed working out, drinking my protein shake from my cool shaker and felt quite the bodybuilder after a good arm workout. I quickly realized, however, that I wasn’t and that everything I had been doing for the last few years resulted in absolutely nothing.
I started doing research. Lots and lots of research. I’m quite the computer geek. Combine that with an irrational love for the indoors and you’ve got yourself an autodidact.
I was a graphic designer at the time, so I figured I’d set up my blog to write some thoughts down on the subject of training and nutrition. Surprisingly, people seemed to be interested in what I had to say, which I still find kind of odd after all these years. GuyDroog.com was born and I’ve been blogging ever since.
The fitness industry is a billion dollars industry. A lot of people make a lot of money. Problem is, a lot of people make that money by selling you, well, bullshit. People get scammed in all walks of life, so it’s safe to say there’s a lot of lying and scamming going on in this industry. I made it a high priority of mine to expose all the scammers, pseudoscientists and snake oil salesmen in the industry. Why? People spend a lot of money, time and energy to reach their goals, I hate seeing that energy wasted on products or programs that just do not work or don’t work the way they are sold to you.
A wise man once said: “it is the natural tendency of the ignorant to believe what is not true. In order to overcome that tendency it is not sufficient to exhibit the true; it is also necessary to expose and announce the false.”
I feel I’ve reached that goal quite well so far.
Aside from being a pain in the ass to the industry, I coach people online and I’m a personal trainer. I coach both competitive and recreational strength athletes, bodybuilders and models. Here are a few examples:
If you’re looking to get into shape, whether for competition or beach purposes, feel free to shoot me a message at guy@guydroog.com and I’ll see what I can do to help. I’m going to fulfill the ‘ask me anything’ role over here on #FITGIRLCODE, so you’re going to hear more from me soon. If you have a question and want it answered, feel free to send it over and we’ll spend an article or video on it.
Thanks!
